Chère femme chrétienne de mon pays,
L’envie me prend, depuis déjà quelque temps, de vous transmettre, avec beaucoup d’amitié, d’amour, de fraternité, ce petit message, en vous remerciant d’avance d’avoir l’amabilité de lire ces quelques lignes qui, je l’espère vivement, ne seront pas mal interprétées et vous inciteront, au moins, à réflexion.

C’est mû par une appréciation sans faille pour les femmes en général et celles de mon pays en particulier que je me permets aujourd’hui d’aborder ce sujet fort délicat, puisque pouvant prêter à équivoque. Mes années d’observations et d’analyses à tous les niveaux me ramenaient toujours vers des constantes et des faits invariables, soit : le nombre grandissant de divorces, la nouvelle discipline imposée à et par notre société, ce charme exceptionnel naissant de cette combinaison qui s’est voulu, à la base, innocente, entre l’Occident libéralisé (européen et américain surtout) et l’Orient de chez nous, empreint de chaleur humaine et d’affection familiale, etc. Et c’est là justement, dans cette nouvelle discipline, que résiderait le problème, risquant de tout gâcher. Voici comment :
À la base, une réussite. Celle de la génération des filles chrétiennes libanaises qui sont devenues les femmes chrétiennes libanaises d’aujourd’hui. Elles ont tout, tout ce qu’il faut pour être des femmes libérales, à l’européenne, puisqu’elles sont, normalement, cultivées, éduquées, belles, bien dans leur peau, très sûres d’elles-mêmes et ont su s’imposer dans tous les domaines, avec un taux de réussite au niveau professionnel dépassant parfois celui des hommes.
C’est ainsi que, femme devenue aussi compétente et indépendante, elle se considère et se veut l’égale de l’homme, dans tous les domaines. Je cite : égales dans les droits publics et officiels, égales dans la vie professionnelle, égales dans la vie quotidienne, etc.
En conclusion, un problème. Puisque, ce qui précède donne naissance à une femme libérale qui a tout pour être l’égale de l’homme, bien sûr, mais porte préjudice à la valeur intrinsèque de la famille. Je compte sur votre intelligence et votre lucidité pour remarquer, en toute objectivité, que ce système que j’appellerai individuel est en contradiction avec le système familial, adopté chez nous depuis plus que deux mille ans, avec la première famille chrétienne. Et je parle de la Sainte Famille du Christ.
Le concept familial exige :
1 – Un seul capitaine pour conduire son bateau.
2 – Une seule tête pour prendre les décisions finales visant le bien de la famille, et ce bien évidemment après de longues discussions avec la partenaire qui est le copilote du même bateau.
3 – Une discipline familiale, avec des règlements bien connus qui dictent les liens entre les membres de la famille, le respect du plus petit au plus grand arrivant à la tête, avec un circuit ascendant qui mène au plus âgé de toutes les familles, etc.
4 – Des obligations protectrices pour tous les membres de la famille qui commencent avec de petites concessions pouvant aboutir à de plus grands sacrifices, surtout de la part des parents.
5 – Tout genre de support, affectueux, moral, financier, etc.
Le concept individuel, qui semble formidable pour certaines femmes très libérales, détruit systématiquement la famille puisque fondé sur :
1 – L’égalité absolue dans tous les droits sociaux, qui implique une famille dirigée par deux têtes, chose qui ne peut normalement que faire perdre la boussole.
2 – L’égalité absolue dans tous les droits publics et officiels, chose qui va déchirer et faire perdre la bonne décision du bien de la famille, surtout eu égard des enfants qui auront plusieurs gardiens officiels.
3 – L’absence totale des règlements familiaux qui dirigent la petite famille dans la grande famille, aboutissant ainsi à toute la société, chose qui va libérer les enfants de leurs obligations de respecter la volonté de leurs parents, au plus tard, dès qu’ils auront l’âge de 18 ans.
4 – Beaucoup plus d’obligations financières pour la femme qui va être obligée à bosser, comme son homme, pour pouvoir continuer à vivre et être entièrement indépendante.
Il faut noter, chère amie, épouse, sœur, mère, collègue, consœur, femme de ma société, que :
a) Même si la tête de la famille est la femme, aussi étrange et incongru que cela puisse paraître, la famille peut avancer dans la vie (conséquences mises à part) puisque ayant une seule tête qui la dirige. Essayons toutefois, hormis ce cas bien rare, de nous restreindre aux exemples plus normaux.
b) Dans les familles « normales » de mon pays, la femme est bien gâtée de la part de son mari, à condition d’arrêter de réclamer l’égalité dans tous les droits publics et officiels, surtout vis-à-vis des enfants, puisque le contraire nous ferait basculer d’un système à un autre.
Pour récapituler, mes chères compatriotes, il faut que vous choisissiez un des deux systèmes, et non ce qui vous plaît dans chacun :
1 – Si vous optez pour le système familial, il faut accepter que l’homme est la tête de la famille, qu’il la dirige et continue à être le maître des décisions jusqu’à l’aboutissement de sa mission parentale, soit en livrant ses enfants à la vie et en essayant de devenir leur fort appui pour le restant de sa vie.
2 – Si vous optez pour le système individuel, vous aurez sans doute acquis la liberté et l’égalité avec votre homme, mais aurez perdu en contrepartie tout le support familial de votre mari, parents et enfants après. Vous devriez compter sur vous-mêmes pour aborder votre vie entière, avec le risque le plus grave, celui de donner à la vie des enfants qui n’auront pas l’obligation d’obéir à leurs parents dans le cas optimiste où ils sont toujours ensemble.
Allez-y, faites votre choix. La décision est vôtre.

مجددًا يفلح الجندر )النوع الاجتماعي( في خطف الأضواء العالميّة ليتمظهر هذا العام في جرعاتٍ قصيرة مصوّرة ضمن إطار الحملة الدولية التي ينظمها التحالف من أجل الحقوق الجنسيّة والجسديّة في المجتمعات المسلمة CSBR بالتعاون مع «المجموعة النسوية » وجمعيّة «حلم » ومجموعة«ميم » بعنوان «يومٌ واحد، نضالٌ واحد .»

الاستقلالية الجسديّة

الزمان: التاسع من تشرين الثاني. المكان: البيت النسوي الذي احتضنت جدرانه جملة الشهادات. القضيّة: جسمي لي، أما النتيجة يعوّل عليها المنظمون فحملة لجذب اهتمام محلي ودولي خصوصًا بُعيْد إطلاق موقع «جسمي.نت » الذي ستُبثّ عبره مقاطع الفيديو مع فتح باب التفاعل أمام كلّ راغبٍ في عرض شهادة أو إبداء رأي. وفي هذا المضمار تؤكد لين هاشم، عضو في «المجموعة النسوية » في حديثٍ ل «صدى البلد » أن «عنوان الحملة مستقى من إيمان لدى أفراد

الجمعيات المشاركة قوامُه أن كلّ إنسان حرٌّ في التعامل مع جسده وفي اعتناق خياراتٍ خاصّة به من دون أن يتعرّض لأي ضغوطٍ اجتماعية أو سياسية أو قانونية خصوصًا أن البند 534 من القانون اللبناني يحرّم كلّ علاقة خارجة عن الطبيعة وهذا ما نعتبره تحكمًا فاضحًا في خيارات الفرد وطريقة تصرفاته وتعامله مع جسده بدءً ا بضحكته وصولاً الى خياراته الجنسية. وانطلاقاً من هذه الضغوط قررنا أن نحمل لواء الاستقلالية الجسديّة .»

مقاطع مصوّرة

أما عن فكرة المقاطع المصوّرة فلفتت هاشم الى أنها «كانت وليدة عصارة أفكار توصل فريق العمل من خالها الى اختيار أسلوب تفاعلي مع الناس يقوم على تصوير مقاطع فيديو لا يتعدّى الواحد منها الدقيقة ونصف الدقيقة ويعرض تجارب متنوّعة لشبابٍ وشابات، نساء وأولاد وكلّ شخص لديه تجارب يعتبرها المجتمع خارجة عن نطاق التعريف الاجتماعي للأمور، مع مراعاة الشرائح المجتمعية من شتى الأعمار والطوائف والمناطق .» 

مروحة مواضيع

وأردفت هاشم: «اخترنا الصورة لأنّها أبلغ تعبيرًا من الكلمة. يوم رسونا على هذه الفكرة نشرناها على موقع «الفايسبوك » وعلى شبكة المجموعة النسوية كما عوّلنا على شبكة علاقاتنا، وكانت النتيجة تجاوبًا كبيرًا من قبل أشخاص كثيرين تهافتوا الى البيت النسوي للتحدث عن تجاربهم ولابداء آرائهم في مروحة مواضيع أبرزها التحرش الجنسي، التربية الجنسية في المدارس، العذرية، حرية العلاقات الجنسيّة خارج إطار الزواج، النساء اللواتي يتهمهنّ المجتمع بفقدان الأنوثة تحت مسمّى «حسن صبي »، ناهيك عن شهادة على لسان شابٍ يمارس الرقص الشرقي ويحاول إثبات أن امتهان الرقص لا يتنافى والخطوط الجوهرية للذكورية… .»

«لم نصطنع الجرأة »

وعن مدى تخطّي الحدود المقبولة والخطوط الجوهريّة للطبيعة الإنسانيّة في هذه الحملة والمناداة بأمور تتضارب والاخلاق العامة قالت هاشم: «لا نؤمن بالحدود لذا نبحث عن كسرها وتخطيها بدل الخنوع والرضوخ لها والعيش تحت حكمها. قررنا ألا نكون منافقين وألا نكسر الحواجز بصمتٍ وسكينة أو أن نتحدّث في الغرف المقفلة، بل أردنا رفع الصوت عاليًا لأن الحواجز المفروضة علينا قمعيّة بامتياز وغير مشروعة .» أما عن جرأة الشهادات التي ستُعرَض في المقاطع المصورة، فلفتت هاشم الى «مواضيع مثيرة تطرحها المقاطع على رأسها ملف التربية الجنسية والتحرّش والنمطيّة القاتلة في استخدام تعابير على غرار «حريم ،»«مرمغتيلنا راسنا بالوحل »… هذه المقاطع اصطبغت بالجرأة من خلال الشهادات العفوية التي سجلناها ولم نصطنع الجرأة أبدًا .» أما عن احتمال عرض هذه المقاطع المصوّرة عبر شاشات التلفزة فتمنّت هاشم أن «تتبناها الشاشات »، مشيرة الى أن «بعضها أبدى استعداده الى التعاون للإضاءة على هذه الحملة .

After a few months of hiatus, Sawt Al Niswa (Women’s Voice), our feminist magazine is back.

This time, it’s bigger, better and online, serving the Arab region and the world.

Originally launched on March 8, 2009 by a group of Lebanon-based feminist women to coincide with International Women’s Day, Sawt Al Niswa (SAN) appeared in three monthly editions, before the editorial staff realized they had to make some changes to be able to keep it running.

“We had very limited resources,” explains SAN editor Sara Abu Ghazal, “but we knew it had a lot of potential because it was highly in demand, and people kept asking us to make it available online. So after much thinking and tweaking, we decided to turn into an e-zine to make it more accessible, more frequent, and more interactive without burning ourselves out in the process.”

SAN will be updated regularly with posts, articles, features, opinion pieces and commentaries in both Arabic and English.

The website is designed to function as a pool of knowledge. It hosts the various social and political commentaries by women, while questioning the kind of feminist discourse they want to speak and express themselves through.

The voice(s) within the website contribute to the construction of an Arab feminist discourse, reflecting a spectrum of Arab reality (ies), the same way Nasawiya and friends in the region reflect on Arab feminism attempts.

Sawt Al Niswa welcomes submissions investigating any topic from a feminist lens by writers, artists and activists in the Arab World, be they articles, reports, opinion pieces, photo and/or written essays, and artwork.

Now Lebanon’s Haeon Lee joined Nasawiya’s International Women’s Day march on Monday night, and blogged about the experience on the news outlet’s website.

Our members Leen Hashem and Sara Abu Ghazal contributed articles on sexual harassment (Juanito, the Neighborhood “Jagal” – Player) and racism and sexism in Lebanon (Lebanon and Women: Types of Female Citizens and Their Uses) respectively.

Also, as part of the tie-in, Nasawiya supporters Zeina Zaatari (Program Officer for the Middle East and North Africa at the Global Fund for Women) and As’ad Abu Khalil a.k.a. The Angry Arab (Political Science Professor at California State University, Stanislaus and Visiting Professor at UC, Berkeley) shared some of their thoughts on women’s issues and feminism.

Ms. Zaatari wrote a commentary on Arab women’s work entitled “Notes on Arab Women’s Work”.

Mr. Abu Khalil reflected on International Women’s Day in an opinion piece entitled “International Women’s Day… Why?”

On April 23, 2009, the Feminist Collective blogged about the recent “Sois Belle et Vote” (Look Pretty and Vote) billboard campaign that sprouted across Lebanon in the past week. The blog is entitled Top 12 Reasons Why the Billboard Campaign: “Sois Belle et Vote” Is Offensive to Women. The post, which quickly spread over facebook and in the blogosphere, created much controversy around the sexism portrayed in the campaign.
