‘Goodnight Sofia’ and ‘Price of Sex’

This Friday, we are happy to invite you to the screenings of 2 great films: one is Italian and the other is Eastern European.

At 6 pm, we will screen the Italian “Goodnight Sofia’. A girl, after suffering a serious loss, goes trough the empty streets of a town far away. She’s alone and hurt. The sounds and lights of the city take her into a journey within herself, at the roots of her pain. It is a 2012, 55 minutes film directed by Leonardo Moro. (Italian, subtitled in English)

Right after that, at 7 PM, we will screen “The Price of Sex”.
This is a 2011 produced documentary about young Eastern European women who’ve been drawn into a netherworld of sex trafficking and abuse. It is a story told by survivors; a film that gives a voice to women who were supposed to be silenced by shame, fear and intimidation. Mimi Chakarova, a photojournalist who grew up in Bulgaria, takes us on a personal, investigative journey into the shadowy world of sex trafficking from Eastern Europe to Turkey, Dubai and Greece. It is 72 minutes long. (English, no subtitles)

A discussion will follow.
See you then:)
